Today is the second official day at the 2013 Agrishow in Ribeirão Preto city, São Paulo, Brazil, showing great products and many attraction to the visitors. Have a look at what Valtra has prepared for the most important farm show in Latin America.
For this year’s Agrishow, Valtra will not only showcase new products but also innovation and its exclusive customer service. During the five day show visitors will be able to experience tractors, combines, balers, sprayers, planters in addition to the Farming Function technology. The customer service teams will be ready to answer any questions the visitors may have.
Visitors will be able to celebrate Valtra’s new BH Geração III line: it includes a brand new cabin and hydraulic system design that improves the machine’s turning radius. These exclusive models will be part of the new line with the objective to increase the power options, among them, the BH 135i (137cv) tractor, with 4 cylinders turbo-intercooler engine designed for the farmer who needs a machine for many different functions and activities on the farm. Also part of the Geração III family: the new BH200 (200cv) and BH210i (210 cv) tractors. These models follow the global standards of the Valtra tractors, specified to Brazilian agricultural operations. The new machines will be shown at the Agrishow and available to the market during the second half of this year. The traditional BH145, BH165 and BH180 models will also receive the technology package available in BH Geração III line.
11th Massey Ferguson Journalism Award awards the best Brazilian and South American agribusiness work pieces
On the evening of October 4, in a ceremony at Casa Vetro, in Porto Alegre-RS, the winners of the Massey Ferguson Journalism Award 2012 were announced. The event gathered journalists from all over Brazil who stood out for their commitment and quality in publishing news on South American and Brazilian agribusiness, as well as media professionals of Rio Grande do Sul and executives of Massey Ferguson and AGCO.
During the ceremony the senior vice president and general manager of AGCO for South America, André Carioba, and the marketing director of AGCO, Fábio Piltcher, highlighted the record of submissions in 2012: 287 work pieces. They also spoke about the challenge of breaking barriers in the journalism specialized in agribusiness. “Social networks work today with the immediacy of information, so journalists have strong competition and need to make use not only of originality, but also of the creative ability to keep journalism alive and interesting to the reader,” said Fabio Piltcher.
“The first edition of the Award had only 34 entries. In 2012, there was almost 300. The goal at the time was to honor the talent and dedication of media professionals that recorded the history of Brazilian agriculture,” Carioba recalls. “Today, the pieces submitted go beyond that; they bring information on technology to improve field activities, update farmers on the global agricultural scenario, how this scenario will impact their business and how some experiences may facilitate their work, besides adding value to the product and consequently to the farmer’s business,” concluded the executive.
The finalists stood out for their originality of theme, research, argumentation, relevance for agribusiness, structure and even interactivity in the case of Internet use. “The pieces submitted presented very high standard, I followed other editions of the Award and it is noticeable that journalists have been increasingly engaged year after year,” said Carlos Henrique Carvalho, head of the panel and executive president of the Brazilian Association of Communication Agencies (ABRACOM).
“We appreciate the participation of all journalists that allowed the record number of entries this year. We congratulate everyone for the effort, dedication and contribution to Brazilian agribusiness,” concluded Eduardo Nunes, manager of marketing and communications of AGCO for South America.
São Paulo topped the ranking of states with the highest number of submissions, 37%, followed by Rio Grande do Sul with 18%, and in third place Goiás with 9% of the journalists who competed for the R$10 thousand prizes.

Expointer reaches its 35th edition, it takes place in the city of Esteio – RS, between August 25th and September 2nd.
In order to better service clients and visitors, Massey Ferguson and Valtra prepared a modern and differentiated structure in an area of over 5000 m², presenting solutions for agriculture. The displays will also have spaces dedicated to the AGCO solutions and the Santal brands – manufacturer of agricultural equipment for the sugar and alcohol sector and GSI Agromarau – manufacturer in the segment of grain storage and protein production systems), recent acquisitions of the AGCO group.
In addition the exhibition of products, the Valtra display will highlight the area dedicated to the ANTS Concept: those who see the display, can learn about this concept machine and play a game simulating the ANTS working on a farm of the future. In the Massey Ferguson stand, visitors can claim a copy of the 106th issue of the Campo Aberto Magazine and participate in the Contest You on the Cover of Campo Aberto, snapping a picture to produce a custom magazine, which will be delivered right away! The participant will also compete for 3 semi-professional digital cameras in the contest for the most “liked” covers on Facebook Massey Ferguson Global.

On the Massey Ferguson and Valtra displays, the press office will be present to serve interested journalists. In addition, several TV commercials will be displayed, add in magazines and local specialized newspapers.
Throughout the 9 days of the fair, several visitors will be welcomed in the stands and in the factory, which is near the Expointer park. Over 200 visitors are expected.
For the first time, Massey Ferguson presents its new harvester MF 32, now SR which is prepared both for grain harvesting and harvesting of irrigated rice. Check out the commercial vídeo here. The 2012 Valtra On the Road Program starts in Brazil, delivering all Valtra solutions directly to our farmers . The customers are able to take the tractors on a test drive and participate in technical demonstrations.
On March 13rd, Valtra On the Road was in Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo. Throughout the day employees were able to experience the new program and all it’s great features.

In 2012 we announced the launch of Massey Ferguson Planet: a new program of promotional actions in Brazil to showcase what Massey Ferguson has to offer to the customer.
Besides promoting the products, our intention is to highlight the wide range of solutions available to customers and new prospects with several facilities to purchase products through AGCO Finance, Consortium and AGCO Rental. Another highlight is to show our customers the after-sales support, the range of Genuine Parts MF and Lubricants Shell available through AGCO Parts and Services Premium MF marked out to our dealers by AGCO Service.
With a goal to reach 10 states across the country this year, Massey Ferguson Planet includes dealer training, technical demonstrations and test drives. The exhibit station is able to accommodate 100 guests simultaneously.
An exclusive exhibit truck was designed for the event to take the Massey Ferguson brand to all corners of Brazil.
To celebrate the start of this project, developed by the sales, product marketing and communications departments, where employees were able to experience the exhibit truck in action and see how it will positively impact our customers a kick-off event was promoted at the Canoas factory on March 12th.
