30 years ago Volvo BM and Valmet presented the Nordic tractor Volvo BM Valmet, a forerunner of today’s Valtra tractors. As the only Nordic tractor manufacturer Valtra and the Nordic magazines Bedre Gardsdrift, Maskinbladet, Jordbruksaktuellt and Koneviesti invite you to a special design challenge.
Are there minor or major details that you would like to improve in your tractor? Do you have ideas for new functions, features, materials or design? We are interested in your practical ideas for the next generations Valtra N and T Series tractors. The suggestions must be based on technology that already exists or will be available in the near future.
A jury consisting of Valtra engineers and editors of the four magazines will evaluate all ideas. All good suggestions will be awarded Valtra Collection prices. Valtra designers and engineers will also use the best ideas to draw a concept tractor. The concept tractor will be presented in November.
To participate simply submit your ideas to the participating magazines either as a drawing, text, model or any way you want by post or e-mail. For more information visit the magazine websites.
Meet Valtra engineers in Finland
The designers of the two best submissions from each country will be invited to the Valtra factory to meet engineers, designers and product specialists. There they will also have a chance to attend a customer panel and thus take part in developing Valtra´s own future tractors.
The design challenge is open for all, but only individuals with residence in Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland are entitled for the factory visit. Your idea must be sent to the one of the magazines before April 30th. Valtra retains the right to use all ideas without further compensation.
