AG CONNECT Expo 2011 “Advocating for Agriculture” Awards

AG CONNECT Expo 2011 has announced the finalists for its “Advocating for Agriculture” Awards. It’s now up to you to determine the Grand Prize winner for each category by voting online from November 24 – December 9, 2010. Categories include: Ag Woman of the Year, Community Advocate and Next Generation of Ag.

The AG CONNECT Expo 2011 Ag Woman of the Year Award recognizes the achievements of women in farming operations, in their communities or in the agriculture industry as a whole. This award celebrates the role of women in agriculture and their contributions in operations, education, land stewardship, and business.

The Advocating for Agriculture Awards are part of our commitment to a deliberate effort to voice support for production agriculture, and to present in a compelling way the work of farmers and ranchers to provide abundant and affordable food and fiber. The awards are intended to highlight the significant contribution that production agriculture makes to our quality of life.

One grand prize winner in each of the three categories—Ag Woman of the Year, Community Advocate Award and Next Generation of Ag Award—will receive a FREE trip to Atlanta for AG CONNECT Expo 2011. Nominations should include information that explains how the nominee’s work and accomplishments this year have advocated for agriculture.” Source: “Advocating for Agriculture” Awards < About the 2011 Show | AG CONNECT Expo
